Moving Out September 23, 2008

Filed under: Personal — Tiara @ 12:30 am

My friend, Faris Fakri had moved to a new house recently. I wish him a happier life in the new place. If you would like to know what was happening, please visit his blog.

Speaking of moving out, oh no I’m not going to talk about Faris anymore. Speaking of moving out, I’m currently moving out to a new blog. I’m in the middle of setting up the new blog and at present time, it is about 90% complete. But you can visit the new blog HERE.

Why did I decide to move out? I wish I could tell you. Haha.

By the way, I’m not gonna delete this blog. This blog will remain as it is. For the mean time and in the future, you are always welcomed to the new blog. That’s it.

Let’s Get Tagged! September 7, 2008

Filed under: Friends, Fun, Personal — Tiara @ 10:03 pm

I am quite used to this idea of tagging and getting tagged. Baru je tadi aku terima berita dari kawan aku, Amoi yang mengatakan aku telah ditag oleh beliau.  Oh takpe. And now, I’ve finally decided to tag these people without much hesitation. What, don’t you understand the concept of this game? OK, first of all, you should list all the people that you are going to tag. It is not a fixed number, you can tag as many people as you can/want. And then, you should list some random facts about yourself. Ah, senang cakap.. tengok je ape yang aku buat nih. Aku akan list kan seramai 7 orang tagged victims aku terlebih dahulu. Berikut ialah calon-calonnya:

1. Izza Amoi

2. Azryn Nasir

3. Rodziah Fadzillah

4. Skinny Gee

5. Pijah Tontot

6. Jijah Rosalinda

7. Faris Fakri

Setelah berjaya menyenaraikan seramai 7 orang mangsa, maka aku akan menyenaraikan 7 fakta rawak mengenai diri aku. Let’s check it out.

Serba Sedikit Mengenai Aku.

1.    Aku paling tak suka lewat, especially bila pergi kuliah. Aku tak suka kalau lecturer sampai sebelum aku. Bagi aku, better never than late. Haha.
2.    Seorang ulat buku.
(Kitorang sambut birthday sama2 sebab birthday aku sehari selepas birthday abang aku).
4.    Pernah hampir-hampir lemas dalam air sungai separas pinggang masa umur 5 @ 6 tahun dulu. Ape daaa.
5.    Tak pernah pergi tadika. Tadika kat rumah sahaja…
6.    Terketuk dahi seorang rakan aku dengan kayu hoki masa latihan hoki time sekolah dulu. Darah mengalir cam air paip sehh. Lepas tu aku terus resign dari pasukan hoki dan terus tak main sampai sekarang. Patutlah team hoki sekolah aku tak dapat masuk final peringkat negeri sebab aku takde. Hahaha.
7.    Suke giler makan karipap.

Sekian.

2nd Day. September 3, 2008

Filed under: College, Personal — Tiara @ 1:42 am

Sept 2, 7.30 am. I was laying lazily on my bed in my sweet old home in Kota Bharu. After refreshing myself with some bath, my fellow classmate called me on the phone, telling me to get ready by 9 am because he was gonna pick me up. Oh yeah, we were going back to KL today. I was quite satisfied because I managed to spend the 1st of Ramadhan with my parents and my little brother.

By 11 am, we were already doing a 120km/hour on the highway. Gile laju, but it was nothing for me, really. My classmate/friend who is about 12 years older than me, was happy enough to share some of his personal stories as we strolled along the highway. I, on the other hand, was sporting enough to listen to his stories as I sat on the back seat.

Vroom vroom vroom, by 3 pm we had arrived at our beloved apartment. It was a non-stop journey, you know. In fact we had a lecture session on 6pm, that was why I was so eager to arrive quickly here.

One must say, I had been weather-shocked. It was really hot in Kota Bharu, and there was no single raindrops at all. I guess I was blessed with this cloudy, breezy weather in my place here.. which was very convenient for my fasting condition. Alhamdulillah. Haha. May the good weather continues. Had a very nice buka puasa with my fellow classmates, which were about 30 of them at the mamak’s joint next to our class.

As I’m writing now, my fingers are all freezing. Gile sejuk. I’m sure I’ll go straight to the bed after this. After all, I have got class on 5 pm today. Alright then. See ya soon.

Kak Ida’s Wedding August 29, 2008

Filed under: Family, Personal — Tiara @ 3:25 am

Some of pictures of my cousin’s wedding, held recently at her home in Subang Jaya and Holiday Villa Subang. Pictures courtesy of the bride’s family. I’ll probably be in trouble for publishing those pictures. Haha.

The newlyweds and the bride’s family. The bride’s parents are in blue attire, Aunty Midah and Uncle Pun.

The bride’s brother, Pian gave his speech.

Daddy was very “kamcheng” with that American guy.

I was being a complete anonymous on the whole wedding reception, that was why I wasn’t featured in any photos of the event. To be honest, my Coolpix ran out of batteries and I didn’t bring my Nikon D40x along. Oh no, wait a second. I think I’ve got myself squeezed into some photos but the photos were taken by another guest. I know her quite well and let’s see if I can feature some of my photos here later.

This is yet another great wedding that I’ve attended so far. To Kak Ida and Abg Farrish, Happiness Is All Yours.

10 hours to go before boarding the bus to Batu Pahat. I actually had a quite rough day yesterday. Had to sit for 2 exam papers but I was unable to do some revision before that because I happened to have a very bad flu and headache. In fact, my nose bled several times.  So I just took some pills and went to sleep and never looked at the revision notes anymore. And I went blank-minded in the exam room.

I’m sure my lecturers will get mad after seeing my answer sheets. Although it was not the final exam paper, but it was only the 1st test of the semester which took 20% into my overall scores. But anyway, I can’t complain much now. Let bygones be bygones. Will be prepared for the future challenges, Insya Allah.

Back to my previous information to tell you. I will be in Batu Pahat from this evening until Sunday or Monday, I guess. Gonna attend the wedding of my ex-classmate which happened to be one of my good friends in Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia, some 3 years ago. Oh how I miss Batu Pahat so much! The last time I was there, it was on November last year. So I wish everyone in Batu Pahat to be well prepared for my presence later this evening. Hahaha.

Will be back approximately 2 or 3 days later with some pictures to show you. Thanks for visiting and see ya then.

Someday I Will. August 2, 2008

Here we go again. I’m back in my college again for the 4th semester learning. It is somewhat good to see my friends again after more than a month. Met some new lecturers and new subjects, also some new friends from another batch of Environmental Health students. Well, I guess I don’t have anything much to tell you about it, as it is only the beginning of the semester.

I’m gonna spare you some details of my relative’s wedding about 1 week ago. It was fantastic with lots of family affairs going on there. Haha. I was actually thinking of waiting for my sister to come back from her Europe trip first before uploading these pictures. My sister actually went for a trip around Europe for 2 weeks and she will return to Glasgow some when next week, I guess.

The pelamin. Gorgeous, isn’t it?

There is the bridegroom, in white Baju Melayu. The man on his right is my uncle, affectionately known as Uncle Seth. Sis Teresa, you’ve got to believe it.

I don’t care, I want to upload this picture so bad. That man in the white + brown shirt is my Daddy.

The newlyweds with the bride’s family.

Uncle Seth’s family with the newlyweds.

2 Loving Couples. Love You Both, Mom and Dad!

The makan-makan ceremony is beginning!

Up Close and Personal with the newlyweds.

A Thoughtful Gaze Into Each Other’s Eyes.

Some of the hantaran. Haha.

Soooo Freaking Delicious! Thumbs Up!

Hey, I managed to get myself into the picture!

My digicam was functioning properly on that day, but there were too many other photographers trying to get on my way. So I didn’t get to capture more great moments. Again, I have to say that this is the best wedding that I have attended so far. I hope my wedding will be as good as this, LOL. To the newlyweds, Kak Na and Abg Sham, I wish you both all the happiness in the world. Anyway, thanks for viewing my entry. I have to stop writing now and will see you again, later.

Surprisingly, I woke up quite early this morning, at about 6.45 am. Well, got to do the prayer first. I was quite sure that after that my head was destined for another round of sleep but then I thought no. Hey, today is paycheck day. So I planned to go for a walk in town but my eyes said no. They wanted to be shut down. Haha. I was fighting with them and I won. I went into the kitchen and tried to find something else to do. I grabbed some ingredients from the fridge and managed to cook some fried rice which were enough to serve 3 persons. Fried rice for breakfast, anyone?

I was quite lonely for the past 2 days. My little brother went camping with his friends and he is scheduled to be back today. At least if he was around, I would have someone to get amused. So lucky that I managed to escape from my loneliness today with an outing together with my friend, Wanie. Went to Pantai Timur Hypermarket and saw a quite big sale going on there. The main reason I went there because my dad asked me to exchange his newly bought shirt which he reckoned slightly small for him. At first I thought it was impossible to exchange the shirt because he had bought it at the sale at only RM10! I even told myself that I’m going to buy another one if the shirt is not exchangeable. But then I braced myself and talked to the sales personnel. Fortunately she was more than happy to help me. Kudos to her.

Well, what else? Oh tomorrow is my relative, Kak Na’s wedding. I had picked up my new dress a.k.a baju kurung. I’ll try to shoot more pictures tomorrow and will post them here. Haha. Macamlah korang nak tengok sangat. Eh, no pictures today? Haha. My digicam was severely lacking in fitness lately. I don’t know why. But I’m sure it will get fully fit by tomorrow.

I gotta run now. See ya then.

Delirium July 12, 2008

Filed under: Personal — Tiara @ 1:22 pm

I’m so relieved that I’m not a sort of blogger that has lots of fans… err… I mean readers. That means I can say that nobody is impatiently waiting for my ongoing or continuous or constant posting of entries day by day. I have the freedom to decide whether to post or not to post. After all, I bet no one ever cares whether I post an entry or not. Haha.

It is the 18th day of my long semester break. And man, I’m all screwed up. Everyday I just spend my time playing various games on my laptop. Not to mention everyday I wake up to the bright hot sunlight up on my lazy head. That is what going to happen when you have too much coffee on the night before. You are still awake at 4 am even though you intend to sleep. Oh how I miss the Euro championship where I used to have my butt stuck in front of the TV every damn early mornings.

We are about 3 weeks ahead from my very last entry. I had been a blank-minded lately and I also figured out that there was nothing interesting to write about. In fact, my mind always gets out of form when I’m not practicing the academic stuff in college. I wish I could do something about it.

For your information, I went to Terengganu twice in a matter of 2 weeks, staying at my bro’s place of course. I had so much fun playing with one of my pageboys, El-Arshad. I’m sure you have seen him before if you are a frequent visitor of my blog. Oh OK, let me refresh it for you, El-Arshad is my nephew or my brother’s son. He is about 14 months now and he is getting smarter now. We even played football together, which I taught him how to kick and throw the ball. Man, he is learning quite fast! He is so much like his old man, who really loves football.

Arshad with his Mama. No pics with his aunt, though. Sorry.

Speaking of Terengganu, I should just say that I love the beaches. I wish I could just soak and swim in that smashing blue waves but I’d been warned that the Terengganu beaches are quite dangerous to swim. That scares me a lot, you know. So I think I’m gonna wait for Francesc Fabregas or Roman Abramovich to fall in love with me so that one of them can take me to swim around Barbados or Capri Island, hahaha. I also went to see the so-called famous Crystal Mosque. Oh yeah it is beautiful indeed. I actually wanted to visit the Islamic Civilization Park which is very near to the mosque but it was raining at that time. Maybe next time.

Yeah.. Spell It Right.

A candid photo of one loving couple strolling the coast. Credit to them.

I had a headache last night and it was a terrible one. As a result, I went asleep at about 4 am. My little brother practically warned me to wake up early this morning because he wanted me to accompany him to see a doctor. And so I woke up at about 9.00 am today. Haha.

OK that’s all for today. I have got to come up with more interesting stories soon, so please come visit me again later. See ya then!

I’m so damn alone in my house tonight and so I get really bored easily. So I decided to share a joke with all of you. Taken from my previously downloaded E-Book, 101 Hilarious Jokes. I’m still halfway through the E-Book, but it is totally superb! Anyone here who would like to have a copy of the E-Book, please drop me a message at tiarazakaria@yahoo.com or you can just leave your comment here. Now, please have a good laugh.

French Computers

A language instructor was explaining to her class that in French, nouns unlike their English counterparts, are grammatically designated as masculine or feminine.

House,’ in French, is feminine – ‘la maison’ and ‘Pencil,’ in French, is masculine ‘le crayon.’”

One puzzled student asked, “What gender is ‘computer’?”

The teacher did not know, and the word wasn’t in her French dictionary.

So for fun she split the class into two groups appropriately enough, by gender and asked them to decide whether ‘computer’ should be a masculine or feminine noun. Both groups were required to give four reasons for their recommendation.

The men’s group decided that computers should definitely be of the feminine gender (’la computer’), because:

1. No one but their creator understands their internal logic;

2. The native language they use to communicate with other computers is incomprehensible to everyone else;

3. Even the smallest mistakes are stored in long-term memory for possible later retrieval; and

4. As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find yourself spending half your paycheck on accessories for it.

The women’s group, however, concluded that computers should be masculine (’le computer’), because:

1. In order to get their attention, you have to turn them on;

2. They have a lot of data but they are still clueless;

3. They are supposed to help you solve problems, but half the time they ARE the problem; and

4. As soon as you commit to one, you realize that if you’d waited a little longer, you could have gotten a better model.

 Haha. Thanks for reading anyways. See ya soon.

Momento June 24, 2008

This evening I will have my last paper for the 3rd semester final exam. And on Thursday, I will go back to Kota Bharu. What a relief. This semester started with me and some of my fellow classmates came a week late and ended up being warned by our lecturers. Not to mention, I had skipped lots of classes for this semester. Let’s say that this semester was my worst record. Haha

Still 3 semesters to go before our practical posting. We have been impatiently waiting for that. We used to always nagging about being in the college. But deep in my heart, I’m so gonna miss all of my classmates then. Well, it is still another year to go.

One thing for sure, we are gonna do something that will make us never forget this time of our lives. My classmates have organized a trip to Kota Bharu on August. At first, I laughed off the plan but when I was told about the trip’s objectives, I did not hesitate to go. It is going to be fun, I suppose.

On the other hand, I should admit that I don’t really like this college but I’m so glad that I’ve been given a bunch of superb cool classmates that always make me smile and laugh. Thumbs up to those guys. I could never ask for another set of classmates. Never ever. I’m so gonna miss them, till we meet again next month. Cheers guys.
