Let’s Get Tagged! September 7, 2008

Filed under: Friends, Fun, Personal — Tiara @ 10:03 pm

I am quite used to this idea of tagging and getting tagged. Baru je tadi aku terima berita dari kawan aku, Amoi yang mengatakan aku telah ditag oleh beliau.  Oh takpe. And now, I’ve finally decided to tag these people without much hesitation. What, don’t you understand the concept of this game? OK, first of all, you should list all the people that you are going to tag. It is not a fixed number, you can tag as many people as you can/want. And then, you should list some random facts about yourself. Ah, senang cakap.. tengok je ape yang aku buat nih. Aku akan list kan seramai 7 orang tagged victims aku terlebih dahulu. Berikut ialah calon-calonnya:

1. Izza Amoi

2. Azryn Nasir

3. Rodziah Fadzillah

4. Skinny Gee

5. Pijah Tontot

6. Jijah Rosalinda

7. Faris Fakri

Setelah berjaya menyenaraikan seramai 7 orang mangsa, maka aku akan menyenaraikan 7 fakta rawak mengenai diri aku. Let’s check it out.

Serba Sedikit Mengenai Aku.

1.    Aku paling tak suka lewat, especially bila pergi kuliah. Aku tak suka kalau lecturer sampai sebelum aku. Bagi aku, better never than late. Haha.
2.    Seorang ulat buku.
(Kitorang sambut birthday sama2 sebab birthday aku sehari selepas birthday abang aku).
4.    Pernah hampir-hampir lemas dalam air sungai separas pinggang masa umur 5 @ 6 tahun dulu. Ape daaa.
5.    Tak pernah pergi tadika. Tadika kat rumah sahaja…
6.    Terketuk dahi seorang rakan aku dengan kayu hoki masa latihan hoki time sekolah dulu. Darah mengalir cam air paip sehh. Lepas tu aku terus resign dari pasukan hoki dan terus tak main sampai sekarang. Patutlah team hoki sekolah aku tak dapat masuk final peringkat negeri sebab aku takde. Hahaha.
7.    Suke giler makan karipap.

Sekian.

I’m so damn alone in my house tonight and so I get really bored easily. So I decided to share a joke with all of you. Taken from my previously downloaded E-Book, 101 Hilarious Jokes. I’m still halfway through the E-Book, but it is totally superb! Anyone here who would like to have a copy of the E-Book, please drop me a message at tiarazakaria@yahoo.com or you can just leave your comment here. Now, please have a good laugh.

French Computers

A language instructor was explaining to her class that in French, nouns unlike their English counterparts, are grammatically designated as masculine or feminine.

House,’ in French, is feminine – ‘la maison’ and ‘Pencil,’ in French, is masculine ‘le crayon.’”

One puzzled student asked, “What gender is ‘computer’?”

The teacher did not know, and the word wasn’t in her French dictionary.

So for fun she split the class into two groups appropriately enough, by gender and asked them to decide whether ‘computer’ should be a masculine or feminine noun. Both groups were required to give four reasons for their recommendation.

The men’s group decided that computers should definitely be of the feminine gender (‘la computer’), because:

1. No one but their creator understands their internal logic;

2. The native language they use to communicate with other computers is incomprehensible to everyone else;

3. Even the smallest mistakes are stored in long-term memory for possible later retrieval; and

4. As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find yourself spending half your paycheck on accessories for it.

The women’s group, however, concluded that computers should be masculine (‘le computer’), because:

1. In order to get their attention, you have to turn them on;

2. They have a lot of data but they are still clueless;

3. They are supposed to help you solve problems, but half the time they ARE the problem; and

4. As soon as you commit to one, you realize that if you’d waited a little longer, you could have gotten a better model.

 Haha. Thanks for reading anyways. See ya soon.

Malacca Phase 2 June 9, 2008

Filed under: Friends, Fun, Travel — Tiara @ 8:09 pm

The 2nd phase of my trip to Malacca and also the final entry about the trip. Lepas ni takdak dah. Ahaha. Went to Bandar Hilir, where we had A Famosa, Stadhuys Building etc. I remember that I used to climb up the steps to the hilltop of A Famosa when I was 17. Oh now I couldn’t do it anymore. Couldn’t bear the scorching hot sun. Nothing much to tell you, so just enjoy viewing these pictures.

I love the colour of this building. There are lots of souvenir shops along this street.

Christchurch Melaka.

Ini Clock Tower kan? Entah. But the place around the tower is very beautifully decorated with colourful flowers. I saw a newly-weds took their wedding photos here. Memang chantek.

The A Famosa. Can you see the stairs up there?

Memorial Pengisytiharan Kemerdekaan Tanah Melayu.

Let’s go to Dataran Pahlawan Megamall. A shopping heaven. Luckily I managed to control myself. :p

Teletubbies. Kids dig that.

I’m proud of my roommates. :D

Enemies Die. Terrorists Win. Haha. The World War aircraft.

Taming Sari Tower. That big round thing carries people, you know? You can see the whole Malacca from up there. RM20 per person.

What is the name of this park? I don’t know. Just passing by.

Bye. I’m going home. Ahahaha. See ya then.

Malacca Phase 1 June 5, 2008

Filed under: Friends, Fun, Travel — Tiara @ 3:22 am

The last time I went to Malacca was in 2004, when I was 17. Never thought that I would be able to visit Malacca again. And now I’m 21 and blessed with a roommate who hails from Malacca, therefore I got one more chance to score another experience of visiting Malacca.

My 2 days’ stay in Malacca was worth every while. My lovely roommate, Ummu was generous enough to provide free accommodation and tour for me and Mila, also our roommate. We went to places such as Mini Malaysia Park which we spent about 2 hours covering all the traditional houses there. The place was so big, and we had to walk under the scorching hot sun.

So this entry will cover some of my the 1st day of the trip where we visited the Mini Malaysia Park in the afternoon. Those are the pictures of some of traditional houses. I got so excited when we stumbled upon Kelantan traditional house. Each houses had their state flags as you can see them in pictures below. Oh and we paid RM12 per person for the entry ticket. Find more about Mini Malaysia Park here

Oh now what?

See, I’ve told you. I was oh so excited.

This is Brunei traditional house, if I’m not mistaken. Can’t remember LOL.

Terengganu house.

This should be Cambodia house or Myanmar. Which one? Go figure it out yourself.

This photo had been printed out and was stuck on our room’s door. Haha.

Once again, I’m clueless. Can’t tell you much about this pic. Sorry.

We were in Perak’s house, I suppose.

We went to the Malacca River on the night for some sightseeing. And what I can tell you is that the view was so gorgeous. The place was all covered with blue lights and there was some sort of an amusement park there. There was a Ferris wheel, Malacca Eye which I initially wanted to take a ride on it but there was too many people waiting for their ride. I guess we wouldn’t get our turn to ride on it as it was fairly approaching the midnight already. But we got to ride on Pirate Ship, the bouncy bouncy swinging ship that made me so dizzy and nearly wanted to vomit. Damn.

Ooh.. Feels like in Venice. Haha.

The Pirate Ship. Really took my guts away.

Myself with our lovely host, Ummu Hani.

We also went for a window shopping at Mahkota Parade. Sadly, no pictures were taken. I saw my former school’s bus, Sultan Ismail College which was parked somewhere near the shopping mall. I decided to take some pictures of it but when I ran to get to the bus, it was gone. Sigh. What were the SIC students doing there? I never got a chance to ride on the bus though.

Oh well. That’s all for the first phase. Come back later for Phase 2. Eh, I should say that there are more pictures of this trip in my Flickr. Feel free to view them. Sorry for the late publication due to my laziness to compile those pictures. See you later then.

Half A Day At Terengganu April 20, 2008

Filed under: Family, Fun, Personal — Tiara @ 6:18 am

April 17. I reached the suburb part of Marang at 4.30 am with my friend, Fairul. He is a Marangite after all. His parents picked us up and they sent me to my brother’s home at Fire Academy at Wakaf Tapai. Full credit to them for all inconveniences that I’d caused. Reached my brother’s house on 5 am and I went straight to the bed.

It was about 8.00 am when I woke up to find a little angel standing beside my bed, watching me sleeping. Oh there he goes, El Arshad. Yet another super cute little nephew of mine. Barely 11 months and managed to stand wit some little support apparently. And so I took him in my arms and marched down stairs. Took some pictures of him. I admired him a lot. Geram.

And I played with him until about 10 am when Fairul came to pick me up. We were going to meet our classmates, Zul and Abg Jahasrul to pick Fairul’s computer set. We were waiting for them in front of the new stadium of Terengganu which was still in construction.

Yeah.. a picture of myself while waiting for Zul and Jahasrul. I chose to hide in the car so that I could give them a surprise.

Jahasrul and Zul came with a little surprised to see me there. Zul didn’t say anything though, he just smiled to me. Haha, after that me and Fairul went to go sightseeing in Kuala Terengganu. We passed by Crystal Mosque but unfortunately I didn’t get to snap a picture of it. Never mind though. We went to Pantai Kelulut because I wanted to lepak2 at the beach. It was so hot there.

We ate some keropok lekor and goreng pisang while watching the sea. It was so calm yet so hot. I took this picture of a fishing boat floating on the water.

Yeah a picture of me underneath pokok kelapak.

Fairul’s handphone. I should send this photo to Nokia Corporation. Suitable for advertisements.

At last, I went home early because my sister in law told me that we would be going back to Kota Bharu at that very evening. I spent the rest of the day playing with El-Arshad.

Auntie Ya.. What Are You Staring At?

This little fellow really amazed me. He could climb up the stairs by himself without any supervision.

Mandi jom mandi!

Auntie Ya.. does my hair look good?

I had a brief short nap beside him at 4 pm. We were going to ride our way to Kota Bharu at 5.30pm.

Shhh… He is sleeping. At the same time, can’t let my hand go.

Yeah..kami berdua baru bangun tido.

Happy family.

At last, we reached the city of Kota Bharu. My bro went to buy some nasik kukus. So he had his replacement driver. :p

And so the story goes. Sorry for my broken English. Btw I’m so relaxed being back home now. See u then.

Cloudaerial April 9, 2008

Filed under: Fun, Hobbies — Tiara @ 11:45 am

Took this picture 3 days ago while I was lying lazily on my bed. The TV antenna or what we commonly call aerial which only cost me RM5.90 somewhat managed to pull my attention. So I grabbed Mr. Nikon and shot the picture. My friends said to me “Gapo ni Ya?” a.k.a “What is this?” and so I had to explain it thoroughly. And so the story of “Cloudaerial” goes.
