Ooh Aahhh.. David Villa. ;-)

My new toy (according to my sis). Bought it last weekend. Been absolutely happy playing with it, so far. I’ve been crazy about football lately (actually, I’m always that crazy), so I decided to have those football wallpapers. And I’m gonna download loads of them in the future.

Thanks to the lovely guys, Hafif and Boy of Thunder Match who had helped me in getting this laptop. With the powerful AMD processor and 2GB of RAM and also 160GB hard disk, it really makes me proud. Will be pampering it the best I can. It also has an integrated 2 Megapixel webcam, which I don’t really care about because I’m not a webcam freak. I used to have a PC when I was studying at Universiti Tun Hussein Onn some 2 years ago, which has only 512MB of RAM and 80GB of hard disk. The 80GB hard disk still has lots of free space although my little brother installed lots of softwares and stuff in it. Imagine what my new babe of 160GB hard disk can do. Oh yeah, I’m so psyched. By the way, the old PC is now at my home back in Kota Bharu.

Thanks for viewing. I would love to wish a Happy Belated Father’s Day especially to my darling Daddy, Mr Zachariah… I love you so much. You are my angel. Also to all fathers in the world.

I gotta split now. See you then.

I finally got my last semester’s final exam result on Tuesday. My GPA slightly decreased compared to the previous semester. Do you want to know how much I got? Em.. Last semester’s subjects were lot tougher than before. Probably the most stressful semester ever, so far. In fact, I wasn’t studying seriously at that time. I devoted myself to having fun every weekends and only did my revisions on the study week. I’m a very lazy person, you know. Oh well, do you still want to know? I think I’ve had enough with all that reasons. No, I won’t tell you. But it is 3.5 above so I wouldn’t complain much about it because 3.5 is my personal minimum target.

Taken with my good old Nokia 6600.

I’m gonna go to Lowyat Plaza this Saturday. Went there last month to help my friend looking for her new laptop. And now I’m gonna get one for myself. Full credit to my far away sister and my parents for the financial help. I owe you guys lots! Speaking of my sister, she called me last week from Glasgow. I wanted to hear my nephew, Danial, speaking in English. I got to speak to him, and asked him to talk to me in English but he told me that he couldn’t do it. Maybe he was a bit shy. Or maybe it was what my sister told me that he was busy concentrating on playing Playstation. Oh how I miss that thick Penang accent. Still fresh in my mind when he used to always come into my room and asked me if he could play the computer games. I also got to talk to his little bro, Demyan. The cutest boy in the world. Aahh.. I was so happy to hear their voices, while knowing the fact that they are thousands miles away.

Oh I will sit for my final exam next week. But hey, I don’t have an idea when will I start to do some revision. I hope to get 4.00 though, because as a matter of fact, this semester’s subjects are all about what I used to learn when I was in my SPM. Yeah, it is boring you know. I even skipped lots of lectures session, mostly in last week. No way, I have to think decently. I got too much things to care about this coming weeks, particularly the Euro 2008 tournament and lots of TV shows to catch. Man, what should I do? LOL. See ya later.

Malacca Phase 2 June 9, 2008

Filed under: Friends, Fun, Travel — Tiara @ 8:09 pm

The 2nd phase of my trip to Malacca and also the final entry about the trip. Lepas ni takdak dah. Ahaha. Went to Bandar Hilir, where we had A Famosa, Stadhuys Building etc. I remember that I used to climb up the steps to the hilltop of A Famosa when I was 17. Oh now I couldn’t do it anymore. Couldn’t bear the scorching hot sun. Nothing much to tell you, so just enjoy viewing these pictures.

I love the colour of this building. There are lots of souvenir shops along this street.

Christchurch Melaka.

Ini Clock Tower kan? Entah. But the place around the tower is very beautifully decorated with colourful flowers. I saw a newly-weds took their wedding photos here. Memang chantek.

The A Famosa. Can you see the stairs up there?

Memorial Pengisytiharan Kemerdekaan Tanah Melayu.

Let’s go to Dataran Pahlawan Megamall. A shopping heaven. Luckily I managed to control myself. :p

Teletubbies. Kids dig that.

I’m proud of my roommates. :D

Enemies Die. Terrorists Win. Haha. The World War aircraft.

Taming Sari Tower. That big round thing carries people, you know? You can see the whole Malacca from up there. RM20 per person.

What is the name of this park? I don’t know. Just passing by.

Bye. I’m going home. Ahahaha. See ya then.

Malacca Phase 1 June 5, 2008

Filed under: Friends, Fun, Travel — Tiara @ 3:22 am

The last time I went to Malacca was in 2004, when I was 17. Never thought that I would be able to visit Malacca again. And now I’m 21 and blessed with a roommate who hails from Malacca, therefore I got one more chance to score another experience of visiting Malacca.

My 2 days’ stay in Malacca was worth every while. My lovely roommate, Ummu was generous enough to provide free accommodation and tour for me and Mila, also our roommate. We went to places such as Mini Malaysia Park which we spent about 2 hours covering all the traditional houses there. The place was so big, and we had to walk under the scorching hot sun.

So this entry will cover some of my the 1st day of the trip where we visited the Mini Malaysia Park in the afternoon. Those are the pictures of some of traditional houses. I got so excited when we stumbled upon Kelantan traditional house. Each houses had their state flags as you can see them in pictures below. Oh and we paid RM12 per person for the entry ticket. Find more about Mini Malaysia Park here

Oh now what?

See, I’ve told you. I was oh so excited.

This is Brunei traditional house, if I’m not mistaken. Can’t remember LOL.

Terengganu house.

This should be Cambodia house or Myanmar. Which one? Go figure it out yourself.

This photo had been printed out and was stuck on our room’s door. Haha.

Once again, I’m clueless. Can’t tell you much about this pic. Sorry.

We were in Perak’s house, I suppose.

We went to the Malacca River on the night for some sightseeing. And what I can tell you is that the view was so gorgeous. The place was all covered with blue lights and there was some sort of an amusement park there. There was a Ferris wheel, Malacca Eye which I initially wanted to take a ride on it but there was too many people waiting for their ride. I guess we wouldn’t get our turn to ride on it as it was fairly approaching the midnight already. But we got to ride on Pirate Ship, the bouncy bouncy swinging ship that made me so dizzy and nearly wanted to vomit. Damn.

Ooh.. Feels like in Venice. Haha.

The Pirate Ship. Really took my guts away.

Myself with our lovely host, Ummu Hani.

We also went for a window shopping at Mahkota Parade. Sadly, no pictures were taken. I saw my former school’s bus, Sultan Ismail College which was parked somewhere near the shopping mall. I decided to take some pictures of it but when I ran to get to the bus, it was gone. Sigh. What were the SIC students doing there? I never got a chance to ride on the bus though.

Oh well. That’s all for the first phase. Come back later for Phase 2. Eh, I should say that there are more pictures of this trip in my Flickr. Feel free to view them. Sorry for the late publication due to my laziness to compile those pictures. See you later then.

An Unexpected Assignment June 2, 2008

Filed under: Personal — Tiara @ 9:57 pm

Few days ago, I told my friend, E, that I’m currently developing a strong passion in photography and how much I love taking pictures. She was like “Oh great, I would like to have your service!”. And so I responded in agreement.

On Saturday evening, E SMSed me.

E: Hey Ya. Are you free tomorrow?

Myself: Oh why? Do you want me to go somewhere with you?

E: I want you to be some kind of spy for me, can you?

Myself: Huh? Spy? Where? What? How? etc..

E: KB lah. I want you to help me to snap some photos of a woman.

Myself: A woman? Sure, I don’t mind. Even if it is a guy, I would still don’t mind. Haha. But what it is all about anyway?

E: That woman you are about to take her pictures is currently having an affair with my dad. She had my dad under her “bomoh” spell. And so my mom asked me to get her photos so we can reverse the spell onto her.

Myself: Oh OK. This is going to be fun and adventurous! Haha. But I tell you what, I’m not going to be responsible for any unwanted consequences or trouble that may be caused by this thing. OK, I’m on it.

E: Good, we will meet tomorrow morning.

And so on Sunday morning, I went to the woman’s workplace in Kota Bharu city centre. I had to play my part as a student who was conducting a research about NGO, which the woman’s workplace happens to be one. And I also told the woman that I needed to take some pictures of every staff at the office. Oh.. what a liar I was! We met the woman though. But it was E who took the pictures. I was busy interviewing the manager of the organisation. And so E had successfully taken the woman’s pictures. Hell yeah, I’ve told you already. I’m not gonna have anything to do with any of the possible bad consequences afterwards. Haha. What an unexpected assignment.

P/S: I should have posted the Malacca entry first. Haha, I’ve broken my promise. Will post it later. Sorry.

Daddy’s Day May 22, 2008

Filed under: Family, Personal — Tiara @ 12:10 am

Semalam 21 May hari lahir Daddy aku. Hari lahir beliau yang ke 68. Damn, that number sounds really old! But wait, you will be surprised. Daddy aku takkan kelihatan setua yang kau sangka. Personally, I think he looks like a 50 year old man. Awet muda beb!

Daddy aku memang sangat best orangnya. Protective yet so sporting. He loves my mom so much. In fact, aku tak pernah nampak diorang bergaduh whatsoever. And I respect him for that. Daddy is so cool. Daddy is the word. The man that I love the most!

I had this one funny experience with my daddy. It was some time last year. I was about to go out when he saw me all dressed up with some light makeup on my face.

Daddy: Hey dear, you better wipe off that thing on your face. I don’t really like it. I prefer your natural complexion, it is much prettier.

Myself: Huh? But this is nothing much la Dad.

Mummy: Yeah, it is fine. Only that she wears some mascara which is not necessary. But I think I’m OK with that. Our girl is all grown up now.

Myself: Thanks Mummy, so cool.

Daddy: Whatever you say girls. But I think you better go natural. Guys dig that, you know.

Myself: Huh? I gotta go now. See ya both then. Ciao!

Haha. Lepas peristiwa itu, bila aku nak keluar rumah, aku kurangkan kuantiti makeup, sometimes tak pakai langsung. Betul ape yang Daddy cakap. Natural looks are better. One of the best advices from him which I will remember forever. Daddy also was the one who introduced me to Indian food. And now look, I’m addicted to eating at Mamak stalls. Daddy is my biggest influence. Thumbs up to the old fellow! I love you Daddy!

P/S: Meant to post this entry earlier tapi terlewat pulak sebab hari ni aku kelas full. Sorry. Meanwhile, Manchester United won the Champions League by beating Chelsea 6-5 on penalties after a dramatic 1-1 draw. Terrible!

21 Today! May 16, 2008

Filed under: Personal — Tiara @ 8:47 pm

I’m sitting in my room trying to write something for my birthday. Can’t believe that I’m actually turning 21 today. I received lots of text messages from my friends earlier this morning. Not to mention the messages that I got from Friendster and Myspace friends. Damn, I can’t think very well today. Thank god I’ve slowly regained my healthy state from that allergicity disaster 3 days ago.

No.. this is not mine.

I must admit that I’m still a bit childish and naive. Some of my friends even didn’t believe when I told them about my age. Oh okay, I’m 21 now and I should act like one.

Staying faithfully on my chest..ahaks!

I guess the celebration of my birthday this year will be nothing special as I will probably celebrate it with some of my classmates. We will go to the movies, dining and bowling. I have a plan of going to Port Dickson tomorrow with my housemate and her friends but this is not yet confirmed.

Oh yeah.. people say that I should make some wishes for my birthday and so the list goes on:

1. I wish the 2010 will come quickly. Can’t wait for the graduation.

2. I want to meet someone who I can share my love and life with.

3. I’m hoping to improve my skills in bowling, so that I will not finish last as always. (Hey, my opponents are all boys!)

4. Want to have great relationship with everyone. No more arguments!

5. Stay healthy, fit and happy all the time.

6. To be updated later.. uhuh.

I must say thanks to my classmates who were sporting enough to sing me the Happy Birthday song when I arrived at the college this evening. It was so sweet of them. They even asked me to give some speech. No, I was so speechless at that time. But anyways, thanks.

Happy times. From left: Pok Mat (23), Myself (21), Farid (21), Ayap (20) and Shahrul (20). Damn.. I looked horrible in this pic.

Happy Teacher’s Day to all the teachers in the world.. Special shoutout goes to my dearest teachers.. You mean the world to me. See you then and stay tuned.

Birthday Boy May 15, 2008

Filed under: Family — Tiara @ 6:17 am

Never thought that I would be posting this entry. I suppose this is a bonus entry for you. Today, May 15th is my big brother’s 22nd birthday. See, he is almost exactly one year older than me.

Forgot to spare you some details on him. Born in the HUSM Kubang Kerian on 15th of May 1986 in which I was also born there a year later. His real name is Tabliegh Mohammed and affectionately known as Alex. A Geology student at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. He desperately wanted to be an engineer ever since he was in his Matriculation days.

He has this indispensable passion for football. Makan bola minum bola tidur bola would be the best description about him. You can see the picture above, he had a knock with Liverpool defensive midfielder, Mr Javier Mascherano. Haha. Cool edit, actually. A big fan of Manchester United, as far as I know. Our nephews who are currently live in Scotland call him Andak Beckham.

I can’t remember when was the last time I met him. Maybe on the 2007 Aidilfitri. He rarely comes home because he has to fulfill the requirement as a Geology student that is he has to attend lots of fieldwork. And he is also a quite active person in the campus.

We were attending the same school starting with SRK Sultan Ismail 3, then we moved to SK Salor because of some technical problems. And then, went to SMK Salor for secondary school. He was the head of prefects of the school. I still remember how some teachers at the school frequently compared me to him. One of them said that both of us were so different in terms of characteristics. Yeah, I had to admit it. He was of the best student and leadership material while I was being the playful one. Whatever lah. I didn’t give a damn at all about the baseless, unjustified comparison.

He once said that he was proud with the Pan-Asian look which does help him sometimes in some ways. As for myself, I don’t think I have his good looks even though people always say that we are carbon copies of each other. You don’t think so too, right? Pic above: Seen here with our nephew, El Arshad.

Quite a hot-tempered guy sometimes. I would always try my best not to get involved in any arguments with him. Sorry to say that bro. In fact, I can say that each and every boys in my family are belonged to the hot-headed type. As for me, being the youngest of the only two girls in the siblings of eight had fully understand that. Haha.

And finally I would love to wish him a Happy Prosperous 22nd Birthday. I had sent him a text message last night but there was no response. Never mind though. Hope he will success in his life. Amin.

P.S: I haven’t fully recovered from my allergicity (sorry, I love the wordplay). I prefer not to eat and try to abstain from any possibly harmful food. Sigh. But I think it is a good reason for me to start my weight loss plan. Yeah. See you then, supposedly tomorrow.

Allergic? May 13, 2008

Filed under: Personal — Tiara @ 12:38 pm

Wah. Once again, aku rasa malas nak menulis dalam English. Hari ni aku langsung tak pegi kelas. Even worst than yesterday. But wait, I have my own reasonable reason. Pagi tadi aku pegi klinik sebab sejak semalam badan aku habis merah-merah dan gatal-gatal. Damn. What did I do? Aku rasa aku takde pulak pegi main-main kat tempat yang tak sepatutnya. Habis kelas aku terus balik rumah. Then aku tidur la kejap dalam sejam. Mende tu start menjadi bile aku bangun dari tidur tu. Gatal yang teramat sangat. Nak kata nyamuk, impossible la sebab rumah aku tingkat tinggi, tingkat 26 dan memang tak pernah-pernah ade seekor pun nyamuk sejak aku stay kat sini. Aku started to scratch it. Tak tahan oi. Walaupun aku cukup-cukup tahu that scratching will spread the rashes. It is common sense lah, I bet everyone knows that.

Memang malam tadi aku cukup-cukup serabut giler. So aku dengan bangganya pegi klinik sorang-sorang. Looking at my ever-tight budget, I chose the government clinic. Save duit la! Ade kawan aku hari tu pernah kena gatal-gatal macam ni jugak dan die pegi private clinic. Sekali die kena charge RM80, mak ai! Wargh, that RM80 dah buleh beli macam-macam. Pegi main boling 10 round pun jalan beb.

And then, nurse yang bertugas ambik darah aku untuk diuji. Aku kadang-kadang tak berape suke kerja-kerja cucuk-cucuk ambik darah ni. Sakit satu hal. Satu lagi, banyak pulak tu die ambik. Aku macam tak percaya tengok darah aku mengalir dalam tiub tu. Dah lah siap komen pasal blood vessel (salur darah @ urat) aku. Katanya blood vessel aku kecik. Kecik tak kecik pun, my blood is seriously valuable. Type O. Penderma universal. Sape tak cukup darah jom ambik darah aku. Haha.

Enuff about the blood. Doktor bilang aku disahkan menghidap allergic reaction. Alergik dengan makanan katanya. Weh.. Alergik apekebendenye? Absolutely strange. Tak pernah-pernah seumur 21 tahun aku ni aku ader alergik dengan something. Oh maybe ader lah alergik dengan bullshit and losers. Haha. Tapi makanan? Aku tak makan anything apart from oatmeal Quaker tengah hari semalam. Nasik and anything else takde. Takkan tetibe alergik kat oat pulak. Tak munasabah la aku alergik dengan makanan. Tolak batu, kayu, api, pasir dan sewaktu dengannya and there you go… semua aku bedal. Sungguh musykil. Tapi aku rasa mungkin ade fakta sains yang aku tak tau menyokong keputusan doktor tu. Huh. Rasanya aku kena belek balik nota Chapter Hypersensitivity dlm subjek Mikrobiologi aku semester lepas.

Hope mende alah ni won’t last very long. Depa bagi aku steroid uh! Ala, steroid biasenya digunakan untuk skin disorders treatment. Err, I thought so lah. Ah whatever lah. Aku taknak kondisi ini berlarutan. Hehe. Credit to Zila and Sally sebab took care about my attendance records. Aku tak tergerak hati nak mintak MC dengan doktor tadi sebab beliau agak kerek denganku. Sempat aku jeling kaunter farmasi. There was this guy who used to go out on a date with me once at the counter. He is a pharmacy student at my college. Die buat practikal kat situ, rasanya. A Kelantanese by the way. What else? Oh, I was the one who felt that we can’t be anything more than friends. Eh, dah out of topic ni. By the way, I want to get a little rest for a while. That steroid really made me sleepy. Oh hari ini 13 Mei. Ulang tahun peristiwa berdarah 13 Mei 1969. Hope that fatal incident jangan berlaku lagi.

See you later. Got to hit the bed now.
